Most editors are built around one photo. You adjust, you export, and the next photo starts from nothing — so a set of photos taken at the same event ends up looking like a set of photos edited on different days.

A Look is the whole edit saved as one reusable thing. Apply it to the next photo and it lands correctly, because a Look is stored relative to facial landmarks rather than pixel coordinates: a different angle, a different distance, or a different person all still work.

This is the part that compounds. The more Looks you build, the less any individual photo costs you.
